hello chaps what i would like to know is how to blend an image into transparency, for eample you start with an image on the left and it gradually fades to the background colour ie transparent. im sure this is easier that i think. ps im using photoshop. thanks

If you're using Photoshop... it may be easier to use the Gradient tool. The fade transition will be much smoother and look a lot better. Just pick the color of your image for the foreground and the your background color as your background, then select the Gradient tool and have fun.

thats what i though but what i would like to do is apply it to an image that is already created and sort of have it getting fainter as you go along the image. a bit like when you cange the brigtness. so at one end you can see the full image, but as you head towards the other it fades to transparency.
