Hmm just an idea - the highlight... Layer effect? if so - create the effect layers, then put the text underneath the highlight gives it a slightly better effect most of the time -Gwala

Matt - Oh no! You caught me!  Gwala - I tried that, but that font wasnt visible if i put it under there, and if i lowered the opacity it just made it look like a regular gradient.

why not duplicate the layer, remove the text from the first layer - then group the highlight w/ the text layer and play around with that opacity? -Gwala
