When I was using the UBB b6, we had table borders seperating posts. Now the only way to get it done through the style templates is to have a border around EVERY cell... Gah!
Anyone know how to go back to the older style? It's pretty frustrating when posts seem to run together visually with no dividing border...
Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Can you not use the middle option for borders in the Style Templates cpanel?
I hacked my topic page beyond all recognition, so I don't even remember exactly what the settings do anymore...

Unfortunately, that puts a border around EVERY singe cell, not just the messages in the thread. Argh...this is so annoying I hate feeling useless and incompetent, but I don't know jack about PERL or pretty much anything else having to do with programming, so I have to rely on others

I don't know if it's exactly what you're looking for, but what I did was add a $TBT before each post and a $TBB after it, so each post is in it's own separate table. That will be in the public_topic_page.pl template file. If you need more precise directions, lemme know and I'll hook you up when I get home from work and can actually look at the file.

OK, here's what I think is the relevant part of the public_topic_page.pl I'm assuming that specifically this is what needs to be changed: to: and down to Is this correct?

Woah! Rotflmao! That's close, but no cigar.
Each post is, yes, in its own seperate table. The problem is that they're then subjected to the rules that apply to main tables, such as the post tables being like 90% the width of the main encapsulating table that contains all the post rows...
