I have seen that people place their forum inside of their web page. I thought that sidebar help, shout boxes, content islands etc ... were all done by pasting code inside of your existing board.
Can someone please explain the concept behind these mods ?
What I am asking is, if I want to modify my board and make it look custom, do I have to place my "forum" inside of another HTML page OR do I just past HTML inside of my forum controll panel ?
I don't understand the concept.

check that tutorial I posted: https://ubbdev.com/db/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=15;t=000001 basically you add the html in your control panel for the header/footer using a table to wrap your forum

view source there you are putting the part that goes in the header, in the header, the part that goes in the footer, in the footer... voila! your ubb magically appears where it says "ubb goes here"
