I believe that the Cosmetic Links hack does this. Run a search on it and you should be able to find it.

hi bookie i installed the hack but it just changed the text to gifs but how toi get a border arond it like a forum category
any suggestion would be good

also i'm not able to find the hack to remove the bbtitle.gif

if you don't know much about editing templates, I suggest you go with Compact Headers, do a search on that. It will make things looks similar to where the login info and main buttons line and other stuff is here at UBBDev. If you know enough about the UBB Templates, then you can edit the main display template files, and put everything where you want it in those. To get the gradient type background, you need the gradient bar hack (6.0x) or the Custom Table Background hack (6.1.0.x).
