Editing top of page - Which file?

I wish to edit the top of each page... Where you see for example the bbtitle image, and the links of 'my profile | register | search | faq | forum home'.

Which file do I edit, is it public_common.pl?

If I wish to edit the links as well, which file are these contained in, and what $ refernce calls them.

Which $ reference calls the bbtitle image?

Sorry if I'm using the wrong terms but I am not familiar with UBB hacking. Thankyou in advance.
