How do I add a glowing effect around the author name?

Is this a mod for UBB or just something to add in using CSS?

Also wanted to add a database how is this done?

Glowing text is an IE customization. Do not encourage its use. Do not use it.

Thanks, But can you be alittle more specific why not to use the glowing text.

And when I say database I was refering to the database like the one that this board has.

Glowing text is a feature added by IE. It is not supported by the W3C, the orgzniation which creates web standards. Only IE supports it. Therefore, you should not use it.

This site's database system is actually a modified UBB.

Actually... There is more than one method of doing the glow hack, the old method WAS an IE only type hack, but as I recall, there is another method of doing it that works only for Netscape! And yet another method that works for both...

So this isn't entirely the case any longer!
