I don't know where to post this but I desperately need someone's help!!!

I had a UBB on a server a month or so ago but I began to have problems with it. There would be errors when posting, quoting, or making changes in the CP. So we asked for tech support from the server, but to no avail. So we re-installed a couple times and it didn't help and we decided to upgrade to the UBB6 BETA. Still, we were getting the same problems.

Now, we've spent money on a new server and things were going great with the new UBB6 and server. Until now... After just 5 1/2 days of being up, we beginning to get the same errors as before: posting, quoting, and CP changing. It's an on and off kinda thing - very fluctating. I'm about ready to give up with UBBs and move on to another type of forum. Please help me in any way you know how!

Contact Infopop immediately as it sounds like a bad problem. Fill out a support ticket from Infopop. Its the second to last option.

a shot in the dark could be that the coding done by the UBB could be the prob. A lot of new server companies are running Apache Suexec, and not allowing chmod 777, they instead prefer 755 as it allows similar functions without giving away security.

Nav, Mark, does this sound possible? Could he need to change some parts in the cgi to code at 755? It seems like writing is causing the problem.
