I posted my "Preview" hack install problem in the V6 Mod Questions forum but no replies yet. Maybe that's the wrong forum?

I sure would appreciate it if someone would take a look and suggest a fix.

I blew my first (Preview) hack.

I copy pasted all the changes and when updating the configuration setting in all the Primary Settings I got as far as Email Settings and got the following—

Software error:
Can't find string terminator '"' anywhere before EOF at /usr/home/comcom/ubb/Templates/cp_vars_email.pl line 26.

Here's the paragraph that contains line 26

UBB features that require email include Lost Password, Email Verification, UBBFriend, Digests, Bulk mailing and several notification functions. It is important to set the email configuration correctly. I turned on my UBB and tried a test post and got—

Software error:
Missing right bracket at /usr/home/comcom/ubb/ubb_new_topic.cgi line 449, at end of line syntax error at /usr/home/comcom/ubb/ubb_new_topic.cgi line 449, at EOF

Any suggestions before I go through the whole enchelada again?

It happened to me too. I found that i had word wrap on while copying and pasting. After making sure word wrap was turned off it worked fine then.

I re-did the whole thing, paying particular attention to the word wrapping, though it didn't seem as though that was my problem, and it's now working. Most likely just sloppy work.
