All right, again I am trying to do something that I can't rationalize, what else is new. (And yes CC I finally got the other thing I was trying to do to work, after much hair pulling).

I want to post the total amount of topics in a forum on the actual forum page. Now I've been using the same code that is used in ubb_forum_summary.cgi for calling the topics variable from lastnumber.file, and employed it in ubb_forum.cgi, but of course not matter what I try I can't get the variable to print on the public_forum_page.pl template.

Any ideas? Anyone? Perhaps I have been placing it in the wrong place, but I have tried everywhere.

Here's the code I have been using:

Ok wait a second, I happened to call the same variable at the bottom of the forum page and it shows up, but at the top of the page, it doesn't. Now what the heck am I missing?

Well I got it, I just put the code to call the variable on the public_forum_page.pl and it worked on the top. So never mind. Thanks.
