Ive found and proved a fault in the Avatar hack..My host has a seperate CGI server and I get a directory with /~username/ username being the name of the site.

That "~" in the directory gives software errors. I cannot use this hack because of that "~" thing. ALOT of hosts have this style of putting "~"'s into directories so this is a major problem which I hope can be changed.

I am hosted by gamespy by the way and have 6.03(which I upgraded to because this hack wouldnt work on 6.0 which I thought was due to outdated scripts) and using the 0000007 Av hack.

The ~ must be making the script think thats the end of the url or something..PLEASE help. The avatar hack is a major attraction to the forums. Is there anyway this can be fixed?

Hey, I had a brainstorm lastnight and it just worked. Instead of putting the full url I just put in the ubb/avatars and it worked(since my noncgi directory is inside my cgi directory )

Well, I got them appearing in the profile..but not in the topic. I guess I'll need your fix!
