Everytime I try to install a hack on my UBB, i receive a 500 Server error. At first, I thought it was a mistake in my copy/pasting, but I then found otherwise. Even if i just load up ultimatebb.cgi and save it, without making any changes, i receive a 500 Internal Server Error. I am using a windows box to edit, and the script is running on a linux box. I have tried, Homesite, notepad, and wordpad, and I still get errors. Is there some other way I can edit cgi in windows without it corrupting the files? confused

Hmmm...have you ever tried programs such as Ultra Edit or Beyond Compare? I've heard good things about both of those.

Try out perl editor from DzSoft.
I use it all the time, to edit my cgi-files.
You can find it here:
