I maye be stupid, but I can't find "sub forum_pw_check {
local($pw_line);" like it tells me too, please help me. And I have Beta 7.9, I can't upgrade for a couple of stupid reasons:
I lost my PW
I lost my license number
My e-mail address doesn't work with the lost license number thing.

I don't think you're going to have much luck trying to hack beta 7.9 with the instructions here, since they're for registered 6.0x versions.
And about the e-mail thing... sounds like you're just SOL. Buy another license.
