How do up upgrade to a newer version and keep hacks, I'm currently on 6.04. I just want to know what I need to prepare for.

simple, you can't =) to upgrade, you are replacing files with hacked code in them. You upgrade, you have to start over (atleast on the files you upgrade)

oh but you are so wrong kaak. you can use a programe called Beyond Compare to do it with very little reinstalls

Just use the unix diff command  Sure doing it this way might work but just to be safe id do the hacks again.
I can't afford a good signature editor
