Hmm MM... I was just answering his question... try to find the line $MainButtonsLine in ubb_lib.cgi and I'll give you a cookie... Anyway, as far as I know, that exact LINE is located in the four template files I said, as well as the template file mentioned by cooled. But feel free to find out where that line is defined in ubb_lib.cgi ... MM may be right, y'know [ May 07, 2001 06:14 PM: Message edited by: Canis Lupus ]

Ever considered using the Find feature built right into Windows? I know similar utilities come with MacOS and Linux. Just in case someone doesn't know how to do this in Windows... Locate the directory containing your UBB files. Right-Click -> Find... -> Containing text -> Find Now Really easy, huh? Better yet, get a real text editor, like Multiedit . When working on a mod, when I need to find every instance of something, I can simply open all the UBB files simultaneously and do a global search. The search results show up in a tree list . Double clicking on an entry in that list brings me right to that line of code. Sweet.

Uh huh, I see $MainButtons several times in ubb_lib.cgi, but I don't see $MainButtonsLine... so where is it? Sorry, just trying to reiterate the obvious...

The actual function is defined as $MainButtons in ubb_lib.cgi, and is called in various other templates as $MainButtonsline. If you edit anything in the main function, it'll effect the rest of it obviously. If you just want to move the location of where it's displayed, then you'd go to the various templates and move the $MainButtonsLine to wherever you want it placed.
