UBB.Developers Forums UBB.classic V6 Mod Questions No borders in the posts- please help.

I have a problem with my forums, and I am hoping that someone can help me.

I have installed several mods including Hypercells, Custom Titles/Ranks, Who's online. I think that somewhere when editing the scripts, I have caused this error in the layout of my topic display pages. The problem is that there are no borders that separate each post; and for some reason the table width is 100% when I have set it to 93% in the control panel.

My main forum summary page is okay, it's just the posts that that have this problem. Below is a screendump of what I'm talking about




As you can see, the posts contain no borders and therefore the layout looks messy. I hope someone can help me fix this problem.

You are proabably missing a $TBT somewhere in your public_topic_page.pl ... that will set the width for the main table, plus it will provide you with the border you are missing.

How does the top of the page look?
It would be more helpful if you provide a link to your board.

Go to CP->Primary Setting->Style Templates and check "Template Association" to make sure you have the right style assigned.

Then edit the template assigned to transition pages, check: "Table Border Display Type" to make sure you have border outline entire table.

scratch that ... you are defiantely missing the $TBT that starts the table for the topic page.. look in public_topic_page.pl and search for where it starts that the topic startings and make sure there is a $TBT there .. if I had more time I would give ya a betta explanation sorry ... i will later tho

I had a look and I did find a $TBT in there, but I'm not sure if it's the one you mean as I'm sure there may be more than one in there.

If it's any convenievce I put a copy of the public_topic_page.txt here . Obviously the page is all screwed up but you can view the source code clearly.

Your problem is right after the $ubb_friend_on variable and before the row starts.

however, that page is completely unreadable so I cannot tell you any more. Send my a copy of it and i'll fix it for ya.

no its not black its really dark blue.. looks black tho
