I woiuld like to install a hack what does this mean?

CHMOD it to 755 (if running UNIX)

it means that if your ftp server for your site is a Unix server (unix, linux, bsd, any nix in general) that you need to CHMOD (which means to change permissions) the files to 755 (which will allow the webserver to "serve" them to people browsing your site). in general if you right click on a file in your ftp server, it will give you a list of commands, one should be "Change permissions" or "CHMOD" or something of the sort. clicking on it will then give you the options of what permissions you want to set on it. hope that helps.

Out of curiousity, how did you install the UBB if you don't know what CHMOD is?

Well, I had someone to install this for me, now its all on me. I am still not sure how to do this, I am on a Mac and right click? NOPE don't have that... must be another way.

ANY IDEAS?

Do you have have a web-based control panel on your site? Or is the UBB on your puter?

Well, I went into the control panel of the host, www.pair.com and the numbers were already set to what was needed.

Now another question, I am not sure that when a mac edits a text file it is the same as non-mac I think one of them adds an extra return.

Can someone email me thier modified files that have to be modified? They should be the same if this is the only modification right?

nobody is allowed to send you their UBB files. this would be against license restrictions to do so.
