Ok i know this is in the wrong forum, but theres not support forums for 6.0....
My problem isnt a hack, i havent hacked my board in months...but out of no where a few of my forums (largest ones) all of sudden are having problems....

the largest forum has a software error in the...forum_8.threads on the last line...

i went in there and saw this
Quote
quote:
so apparently the problem is i need to finish off that code but dont know how...

===========
===========
and in the other forums, it says
Quote
quote:
different number for each forum....
now this has been easily solved, i just made up a make believe profile and it fixes...but my question is (besides the software error) why is this suddenly happening?
i did nothing, matter fact havent been in my cgi bin nor ubb in weeks.....

someone please help....
thank you

Maybe because we aren't Infopop. :rolleyes:

If you knew what hack was making it do that, then maybe we miiiiight be able to help.

Report it in UBB6 Bugs and open a support ticket at Infopop. Best thing you could do for this.

BTW, what version are you using? If it's anything below the current version, then I would suggest upgrading. smile Chances are what's causing that has been fixed.

in the control panel, under the Maintenance tab, "rebuild the forum stat files" for forum 8 and that will fix your first problem (it deletes and recreates the _threads file).

in the same control panel tab, rebuild member stat files. that *might* fix your 2nd problem, im not sure.

clear cache after doing these 2 things and see if the problems remain.

For the record, member files aren't touched in an upgrade. smile And neither are topics, aside from any template modifications you may have made.

Although, if you have more than the regular number of profile fields in there (past 30 or $user_profile[29]), you've got a prob.

Just some advice there.
