I am looking for a hack similar to the UBBNews hack that will take a certian number (5 to 10) of the most recent posts and display them somewhere else.

There is an example on my board at http://www.gamerforums.net

It used to work before the upgrade, but I dont recall the name of the hack, or know the name of a hack for 6.x that would do this.

Any help would be much appreciated.

When i said recent posts, i meant what UBB 6 calls Daily Topics.

I want to display them on the front page along side my news posts.

I would like to bump this post. I, too, would like a hack that would create a seperate cgi file for the most recent posts so that I may use SSI to include them on the main page of my website. There is the daily routine which has the most recent posts, but this cannot be called using SSI and plus it includes all of the other UBB headers and footers. The news hack is cool in that you can use SSI to call it and it does not have the headers, footers, and such, but this will not let you tell it to display, say for instance, the ten latest posts. Maybe the news hack code be modified (mod the mod, hehe) so that this option would be included?
