I just installed the script and it was working fine, then i noticed i had two displays of the whos online! so i erased one kow when i try to enter my UBB i get thei error message syntax error at ultimatebb.cgi line 211, near ""$masterCharset")" Execution of ultimatebb.cgi aborted due to compilation errors. so i had back-ups and put them back up- so i did it all over and still the same error message! syntax error at ultimatebb.cgi line 211, near ""$masterCharset")" Execution of ultimatebb.cgi aborted due to compilation errors. please help!

try to go back to haviung two views of it but it working .. then I can help you delete one

when you uploaded the backups did you do so in ASCII mode, and not binary? that might have caused the compilation error.
whenever you backup, download in ASCII mode. backing up in binary will screw up the format of your files.
recheck your ultimatebb.cgi file if the hacks are still installed in it. if so, carefully remove them.

i uploaded the files right, i wnet back to normaol and tried to do the whole sript over and i still got the message! i don't know my board is working fine, but i would like to have who's online on my ubb

after much deciphering i *think* he says when he reinstalled the backups he could see the whole UBB again. and that he could see the who's online settings in his control panel, but not the who's online page which gets the errors.

No.. what i mean is! Ok let me start over. I installed the script the first time! it worked in my UBB, i noticed i seen who's one line 2 times one right about the Forum table and one in the forum table, So i enter the public display.pl thing and delete somethin i put in twice! So when i thought i corrected the mistake i went back to the UBB and seen the error, so i removed the files, and i put my back up back up, so i sat down and did it all over from scratch! starting Over, when i was done i uploaded the files again, cleared all history and everything, and enter the site, it still showed the error message, So i enter my admin control panel and everythingw as fine in there! i don't kno what i could have done wrong, ! I am so confussed i don't know if i erased a script that was important but i do remebr i closed the readme txt and it said save and i said yes. maybe i erased the srcipt piece in there and when i re-did it , it was missing a piece?

just reupload all your template and cgi files and start the whos online hack over .. I could do it for you if you want ..

i cleared it, the one ont the bottom of the disappered, but ther is still on above the Forum table, i don't want that one there, just the one in my topics!

i tried deleting that in the two scripts, and tested um out but no luck! could it be in the ubb_forum_summary.cgi script i remeber adding that a couple of times it in there
