I'm hoping someone here can give me a hand with a little problem that I just found.

Recently upgraded to ver 6.04f, no problems. Added a series of hacks, no problems, until tonight.

I just realized that my move topic option doesn't work anymore. Just says:

FYI
Invalid input! One or more items submitted in the form are not in the proper format.
» Please use your browser's back button to return.

When I hit the Move Topic button...

I don't know when this actually happened, or what I may have done, obviously it happened during a hack. MAYBE when I added the top/de-top hack.

I have back ups but don't want to restore them, as I would lose a large number of posts for my members, many of which are important.

Ideas anyone? I'd sure appreciate any help anyone can offer.

Upgrade to 6.05, it fixes that problem.

Actually, I will try that... I'm assuming I have to re-add all my hacks though.

Oh well, I knew there was a reason I took extra time off for the upcoming Holiday.

Yep. You have to re hack the files.

Seems people don't know what Beyond Compare is...oh well, suit yourself.

Didn't want to start a new topic on this since I had one up already.

Did the upgrade, no change.

Still getting the error message when trying to move a post, that says I didn't complete all the fields.

Yes I know what Beyond Compare is. I use it. Though I only found two or three differences in the upgrade files. But this is more confusing and difficult to see new changes to code, as you add hacks.

I used my test board and just did a straight upgrade and it still doesn't fix the issue.

Still looking for any ideas anyone might have as to where this may have gone wrong.

I dont use it because I never could figure it out so I just do it the hard way. Re-Hack.

Go the Members area, download the full 6.05 script, not the upgrade one. Re-upload the templates, public_move_topic.pl and public_pm_form.pl. Problem will be solved.

Thanks for the advice Slurpee... didn't work though.

Think I may blow it all away and just do a 6.05 install over top and re-hack the whole works over. Don't know what else could be doing this.

Fixed!

Spent more time digging through files and comparing them.

Found one minor/major flaw in my old public_move_topic.pl file.

Very odd, but no complaints from me now that I've finally found it. It seemed an odd omission.

Thanks for putting me on the right track and letting me toss my thoughts out.
