UBB.Developers Forums UBB.classic V6 Mod Questions upping the age limit?

In the registration setting you can limit registration to age 13 and up, but (for a non-programmer but follows direction well) how and where would I raise that limit to say...18? I figure this is a fairly simple and straight forward mod.

I am looking in the ubb_registration.cgi file at the thinking that in
the 13 would be changed to 18. Is that on the right track?

If so, what else?


This is for a gun related site and we feel that since the legal age for firearms starts at age 18 we need to start there.

Well you can try it and test it out to see if it works...

-13 to -18 will work. partly. All you need to do is change the wording if that doesn't already control the wording of the coppa click.

Confirmation: That is the correct number to modify.

Anyone else that does this will also need to modify your vars_wordlets.cgi file in about 5 places and your public_age_check.pl file to remove the links to the coppa website and .pdf file.
