Ok,i did a full install of the whos online hack for UBB6.I edited all the files perfect, ran the install templates thing, that also went ok.Here is the problem,I went to the cp to change the who's online settings and there are no options to change the whos online settings.Nothing, the who's online doesn't even show up on my main board page which is http://www.ps2replay.com/ubbcgi/ultimatebb.cgi

I will leave the who's online files up so you can check the source of ulitmatebb.cgi to check it.

The readme also says you need to modify vars_wordlets.cgi ,i found no reference to this in the instructions. Can somebody please help me before I go mad and do summat silly?:(

>>>>Note>>>>

I have now got the who's online script working http://www.ps2replay.com/ubbcgi/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=whos_online but i still can't get the option to view it in ultimatebb.cgi or find an option to change settings in the cp.:(

Yes, you'll find quite a few more parts of WOL show up once the wordlets show up smile

I think I got the same problem here, and I would appreciate if someone could help me out. I used the installation program and it completed the 13 first steps, but then it said not able to chmod ultimatebb.cgi to 777, but I checked and it was already done, in then installed the templates, and it said everything ok, go set it up in your control panel. But I can't find anything inthere, and the clear cache have no effect.

TIA, kennyp

BTW, I have already the mod wordlet installed, did that when I installed the statistics hack, and I have also added all the new lines to it.

I was just looking in the readme file and stumbled over this:

### MAIN PAGE:
### ----------
###
### Open Templates/public_forum_summary.pl
###
### FIND (first instance of):

$TBB

###
### ADD below:
###

This is the part I do not understand

###
### Repeat for Templates/public_forum_page.pl if that's how you want it in ALL your forums.
###

TIA, kennyp

Well, that was the part that was making my life miserable. If you modify it as it says in the readme you should be ok,just delete that and make the changes it suggests.:)

Just look a few lines down from that and you will see what I mean.:)

I believed you have not uploaded the modified cp_common.pl. That'll be the only reason why the Who's Online Settings Control Panel would not appear in the menu.

kennyp

Your situation is different. You had an install error. Thus you have to manually hack from the beginning with good backups, run install_templates, and then clear your cache to install Who's Online.

Ok you guys, I have just discovered a minor error caused by this hack, hopefully one of you can tell me what I did wrong. smile

When you try to delete a pm this is what it comes up with:

FYI
Invalid input! One or more items submitted in the form are not in the proper format.
» Please use your browser's back button to return.

You can still enter the pm and delete it from there though.

TIA, kennyp

kennyp: That's not a problem with WOL. That's prolly due another hack or an improper upgrade of UBB software.

Ok, found a bug in the script this time. wink (I'm pretty sure this time. wink ) It's not really anything important, just stumbled over it.

When I enter the Whois Online page, in the buttom I see this:

Currently: July 16, 2001 / 11:21 (12 visitors)
Record Book: July 16, 2001 / 02:56 (22 visitors)

So far everything is ok, but then I exit to the main page and see this:

kennyp - There are 10 other members on the forums within the last 10 minutes. Most users ever was 22 on Monday, July 16, 2001 at 14:56.

(Time on the board is now 13.35)

Any help to resolve this little problem will be appreciated.

TIA, kennyp

.. Well, since it has been ten minutes whoever was there ten minutes or later wouldn't show up because its based on what they are doing 10 minutes earlier then that time so its not a bug.
