I don't want to just change them to a bar or something, I was hoping I could change them to pictures as in those 60x60 icons. So that each "rank" will have it's own icon. Is that possible with the star status hack? Is there another mod that is easier than this?
Also what hack do I need to look for to make it so that once visitors reach 1000 posts they or I have the ability to change their default icon? I reall want a hack to be able to do all this and change the users rank at the same time it changes their icon. Possible? Where?

Can't you just upload 5 pictures and rename them under the stars.gif ones?
For the other thing I am not sure yet. But I betcha you coudl do something like this with Jimbo's custom status hack.
