has the "No member profile found for member number" problem ever been resolved? i've gotten it once before, a while back, and, for whatever reason, it... disappeared. but, now i get it again while trying to access a forum. whats worse, ... its just while trying to access a forum, and thus, lists no specific member number. it just says "No member profile found for member number: " link to my boards link to f'd up forum help is much appreciated!! thanks

That happened to me once before and all I did was this:
Log into your control panel > go to Maintainance > Updater Member Post Histories & Rebuild Member Stat Files then Cleared the catche and everything worked fine again for me. If this doesn't work I'm not really sure what is wrong? Did you recently move to a new server? Because that's what happened to me when I moved.

thanks for the help, but, yeah, tried all that. didnt work. still get the (annoying) error.
dunno any reason for it, either. didnt just relocate, didnt just add any hacks or mods, didnt do anything, really. in fact, i just posted in that forum, oh, 4 or 5 minutes before i got all this error bidniz.
...stupid ubb garbage face...
any other ideas?

I don't think this would help but it doesn't hurt to try.
Clear your cookies on your computer for temp internet files then shut down/restart go back to your page then re-login. Maybe that would do something or log out then log back in.

weird... i can seemingly enter any post i want (by manually altering the URL), however, i just cant view the forum.

hmm... ok, i located the problem!
i was able to access posts in the forum, by typing in their url -- just not able to access the forum, itself.
so, i stumbled across the problem -- it appears unregistered users posted on my forum! meaning someone who registered a few months ago, that i deleted a few months ago, just came back into the life of my forums, posted, and messed everything up!
his name appeared in alligator brackets
um... anyway to prevent this?

Another option is go into the CP, Maintenance, Prune Posts and delete all posts by that registered member name in that forum. After that you should be able to open the forum again.
