Well hack is working great got tons of smilies now BUT.. i am missing the Instant UBB code buttons below the topic window not sure why as i did install the hack from the readme titled "smiliemod_ubbcodebuttons_install" and to go even further it has this warning inside readme at the top

i have allready searched this topic for an answer yet every time this problem is brought up its just thrown aside by someone stateing "read the manual" or something so if there is any help to this problem i have reinstalled twice now and just getting worn on it here is what the new reply, new topic, and edit post templates look like as of right now go have a look i am clueless HERE IS LINK thanx.

OK well i figured out this problem myself by compareing my boards sorce code to other boards and this is what i found out.


first thing you need to do is if your board HAS UBB code buttons on it switch the installation instructions accually the only thing thats different is the public_common.pl so change that file.

Now go to
public_edit_post.pl (In Templates)
public_new_reply_form.pl (In Templates)
public_new_topic_form.pl (In Templates)
public_pm_form.pl (In Templates)

and make the following changes find.


the_message

&SM_instant;

print<

And replace with

the_message &SM_instant; print<

This is for anyone thats having problems with the Instant UBB code buttons not showing up in a table or not showing up at all after installing smilie hack... also be sure to make colors match your board ie

Heh, the maker somehow screwed up the name of the install files...he got the one for ubbcodebuttons and the one without named backwards...what a costly mistake.
