I decided to set back everything how it was, and after the installation of the memberlist (and avatars), smilies, megamod and moddropdown I dicided to try again. I did everything exacly how it was write down. and in de control padel works everything (manage avatars and avatar settings) but at the forum it doesn't. I only checked my profile and I get the next error: Content-type: text/html Software error: Can't find string terminator "THISFIELD" anywhere before EOF at /web/sites/262/yakuma/www.yakumaxl.f2s.com/ubb/Templates/public_edit_profile.pl line 4. For help, please send mail to the webmaster ([email protected]), giving this error message and the time and date of the error. hope someone knows what to do!! maybe other usefull info: - I have 6.05 - url = http://www.yakumaxl.f2s.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi - the avatar hack I used is: avatar-v0.0007e - when i saved changed files they all changed. normaly everything is neat under eachother, but after i saved it, it all stands successive (THIS HAPENS ONLY BY SEVED TEMPLATE FILES) this could by bull****, but the errors only shows up by templates! i really hope someone can hep me out

CyRaXx Junior Member Joined: Aug 2001 Posts: 25	it seems to me, as if there is a typo in the public_edit_profil.pl so it can't find the variable THISFIELD! I am not sure and it is just a guess, but i would advice you to check if you have entered the code rightly in this file!

DELETE IT.

you mean that? I ahd to delete this in public_edit_profile, public_register_page and public_register_page_kid. maybe I schouldn't delete it, but then it's still strange 100 people work with that hack, 100 people get them work and I did what the maker wrote down

edit: I put that back on his place and uplaoded it again, same error. does somebody know's what's wrong? you lord dexter? I have a strong idea your the master out here because on almost every question you have an answer. hope you got one for me aswell (or somebody else)
