Something has gone wrong with my UBB boards regstration email requirement.

after a user tries to sign up, they receive the message...

"You did not properly complete all required form fields! Remember that you must enter a valid email address. Please go back and re-enter."

they receive this message even if the email is a correctly formatted email.

I have gome through my control panel and looked for a way to fix this but i feel something went wrong possibly when i added more profile fields. I have been adding a lot of hacks lately and I over looked this problem along time ago, so I'm not exactly sure what could have thrown it off.

is there a quick fix for such a problem?

problem = Registration

One problem can be multiple email addresses. Say the person registered with "[email protected]" and then someone else tries to register with the same email, then it won't work (if you have the unique email required turned on).

its all turned off right now, i have tried everything in the conrol panel to fix it.

Have you installed any hacks prior to this stuffing up?
If yes then try uninstalling the hack and see if that works. If no, then id overwrite the cgi/pl files with your original ones.

I successfully registered account abc on your board and the registration went through. You can delete the username

yes, i went through my register lib and ubbmisc and corrected matched them up with unhacked copies, it took care of the problem. thanks anyways
