I use ps 7 for almost every graphic I do, but I don't do buttons, and I'd like to start. So I came here, amd a lot talk about firewoks. Should I use this instead? And why? Does it have something to do with vector drawing?

I'm not sure why there is so much talk about Fireworks, but Photoshop is more than enough for what you need to do, including creating buttons. If I were you, I would stick with PS7.

Fireworks MX is very very cool but I'm a Photoshop 7 phreak. I have the Macromedia MX Suite and I will be using it but I've spent so much time in PS that it's hard to put time into starting over on another app.

Personally I prefer PSP7... It's kinda like a more compact version of PS7, and it has all the options I'd ever need to use readily available. But in the long run, I would say PS7 is better.

As for Fireworks... I don't really like it; I'd stick with PS7.
