I found this in the manual "You may not delete forums but you can turn them off so that they no longer appear"
That cant be true right? What kind of sense would that make to not allow forums to be deleted? If this is true... is there a hack to go in and delete forums or some way to go in and manually pull them out?
Sorry if these are lame questions But i'm tryin to learn as fast as possible so I wont ask the "bad" questions anymore
Well... now to decide if I should upgrade and loose all the hacks that my friend put in and start over, or if I should just live with it.
Opinions?
I have heard that the newer versions of UBB have more problems then the earlier versions, any truth to that? The last thing I want to do is try to upgrade and end up with a crap board.
Now if I upgrade, I will loose all of the hacks that have been put in, but ALL of my setting will remain right?
The forum will still look roughly the same with the same icon's, backgrounds etc right?
The reason I ask is that another gent set up the whole thing then decided that he had too much other stuff to do and thus I inherited the site and everything along with it. So this is all Extremely new to me
At the moment I am trying to add the Private Message hack... I have it downloaded (3.8 i think) but there is NO readme included with the zip and this is my first "Hack" attempt so i have NO IDEA what I am supposed to do?
Does ANYONE have a readme that goes with the install of the Private Message 3.8 hack?
