It says sorry but the Script pw something was incorrect I need help Retriving it! Any help would be greatly apprieciated casue me mods and brotha Admins is gettin mad @ me(I'm not so worried about the mods its the Admins)

Explain the problem please.

I was gonna ad some scripts then It said my script pw was wrong Is there a way to ad ahcks without the pw? Or a way to retrieve it?

To my knowledge you don't need passwords to install hacks. Just use a perl-editor to install the hack and upload the edited files.

I think I know what the problem is here.

You don't install hacks from your webbrowser or from your control panel.

The way you install hacks is something like this:

1. Open the hack in Notepad.
2. Follow the instructions. The instructions usually are something like this:

What you do is follow the instructions. Open the file postings.cgi (which is on your harddrive) in notepad. Then edit it by following the instructions.

After you are done, upload the edited file to the cgi-bin directory on your webserver (overwrite the postings.cgi there, but make sure to keep a backup!)

That's the way it works. If you would make me an admin on your board I still wouldn't be able to install hacks. You need FTP access to do this.

Yes he is right..You do it on ur hard drive not on the net.

Or if you are really good I recommend using the unix editor called vi, its very powerful but not that easy to use for a novice
