Have any of you 5.4x board admins installed this hack, or have it installed now?

I am trying to install it, it's verion 1.6, the latest. I have problems when I try to use the file manager. I've installed around 40+ hacks, so I am pretty confident in my hack installation....any help guys?

P.S. This hack is not the "insert image into post" mod. I already have that one installed and working fine. I also have UBB Code Buttons installed, and many, many more....

I have installed more hacks than you in my life and I sometimes make mistakes as well. I urge you to double check your installation to make sure you did not accidently leave out something...

Do you know of any issues with this hack?

Forget it, I got it working...it was a pathing problem in the set-up file.

wait a minute...there is a problem! After you upload your file it's supposed to print "successful upload..etc..", it just displays white in the box.

any ideas on that? it seems like a problem in one of the attachment scripts.

Is anyone else using this hack with 100% success???

Some other people had probs with this earlier too.

So, it's a known bug, or is there a way to fix this??? Anyone?

it's do-able, I added it to 2 sites in the last couple of months. Most likely it's a permissions thing if you are getting the white screen.

Check the permissions on the folder you are uploading to.. is the file actually getting uploaded?

It actually could be the Smile CP hack, Because when i didn't have any smilies set, I always got blank screens when I tried to post and I had the correct permissions, So It's wither permissions or maybe conflict with another hack.

Yes, the file does get uploaded, and that part works. But I can check the permissions.

ok, permissions *are* set correctly (they were to begin with)...

I see what you're saying about the CP Smiley hack, since the File Attachment hack uses smilies.
So, is there a fix? Can I just prevent the File Attachment hack from utilizing smiley icons? Are should I just forget this hack?

both sites I had this on used the smilies too.. do you have your smilies set? try the upload using netscape and see if it'll tell you what the error is...

All I have is Netscape 4 and it will not even upload a file, it says "File Contains No Data". ???

Yes, my smiley's work fine.

Allen, did you use version 1.6 ?

Do you have smilies set on Your Smilie CP? If you don't It can stuff up two hacks, That one and UBB code buttons.

I'm not sure exactly what you mean....

I have the Smiley CP hack instlled, and Code Buttons, and both hacks work fine.

Ok Nevermind what I said I meant have you added any smilies to your Smilie list yet?

Also the only person I know who installed that hack succesfully with UBB Code buttons and Smilie CP hack was SpAwN, But he doesn't seem to be around much.
