OK, i am new to this. I have not tried to hack my UBB before but felt confident. Here is my problem...I used the Avatar 3.0 and modified all the files as stated. I then uploaded them in ASCII and chmod the directory. Now in the control panel, I click on General settings and get this:
The specified CGI application misbehaved by not returning a complete set of HTTP headers. The headers it did return are:

Bareword found where operator expected at D:htmlusersfantasyasylumcomhtmlcgi-bincpanel2.cgi line 1281, near ""1" FACE"
(Missing operator before FACE?)
Bareword found where operator expected at D:htmlusersfantasyasylumcomhtmlcgi-bincpanel2.cgi line 1282, near "/FONT> (Missing operator before B?)
Bareword found where operator expected at D:htmlusersfantasyasylumcomhtmlcgi-bincpanel2.cgi line 1285, near ""2" FACE"
(Missing operator before FACE?)
Bareword found where operator expected at D:htmlusersfantasyasylumcomhtmlcgi-bincpanel2.cgi line 1285, near ""Verdana, Arial" COLOR"
(Missing operator before COLOR?)
Bareword found where operator expected at D:htmlusersfantasyasylumcomhtmlcgi-bincpanel2.cgi line 1285, near "Enter"
(Missing operator before Enter?)
B

Now if I click back and then forward again the page displays correctly, HOWEVER, there is nothing anywhere on any page that shows anything about avatars. Any help I could get would be greatly appreciated.

Well you have stuffed up the coding in Cpanel2.cgi. Thats why you get that error and the avatar options aren't showing.

Another case of a bad installation. Go through it again.

OK, I am at least getting somewhere. Thank you for your help. I now have the control panel working and avatars turned on. Now I have another problem. I have the "select avatar" in the places it is supposed to be, however, for the pulldown menu all I get is "Previous", "None" and "--------" in profile and only "None" and "--------" in the registration. I have redone the code in all the scripts and still cant get it to work. I do have some avatars in the "avatars" folder under my "NonCGI" folder. Once again any help is greatly appreciated.

Umm... I have a problem.

I dont have any problem for the Control Panel. But now when ppl register it shows BLANK page.. it doesnt work at all. As well as if we go to Profile. The Ubbmisc.cgi shows blank....... what is going on?

-----------------

One more.. on the avatar hack 3.0 NEW. On the last section I found this:

## FIND:

1;

## PASTE THIS ABOVE:

sub AvatarDropDownHTML {

opendir(CUSTOMAVATARS, "$NonCGIPath/avatars/custom");
my @customavatars = readdir(CUSTOMAVATARS);
closedir(CUSTOMAVATARS);

@thecustomavatars = grep(/w

--------------------------

I says find "1;" what is that mean? its the ubblibrary2.pl file hack.

Ok Did you set your prefrences in Your General Variables. If you did, did you put a size limit on your avatars.

Yep, I have the avatars turned on in the general settings and for something to try I set the size to 64X64. Still nothing.

What is the size of the avatars you uploaded. If they are big don't fill in anything in the size box in your General Variables.

They won't appear in your list unless they are 64 X 64 pixels. If they are 48 put 48 in there not 64
