I'm a big fan of this UBB. I was wondering if anyone could give me a list of all of the hacks they use and which are available for ver 5.45b?
BTW, I've changed the layout on the intro page to my UBB, but all of the other pages won't change along with it. Can anyone tell me how to fix this?
And finally, can anyone tell me what's the easiest / best text editor to use for adding hacks?

1.Most of the hacks in the Database work for 5.45b, It will say in the Readme if it's not compatiable with 5.45.
2.Use Notepad, It's the best and easy to use. Wordpad is great too.

I tried using Notepad, but whenever I get done adding the hacks, and I save the .cgi file, it always saves it as .cgi.txt. Is there a way to save the .cgi files as just .cgi files with no .txt suffix?

Actually, notepad and wordpad are probably the worst to use. Use EditPlus . There is another one. I think it was UltraEdit. I don't have a link to that sorry.

The best hacks to install would have to be Who's Online, Last posters, Private Messages and Memberlist is good too.

Notepad is the WORST thing to use! Get a HTML editor such as Homesite, it makes things much faster and easier.

if you have shell access use a unix editor. I personally use the vi editor, Pico is good if you have it installed.
I can't afford a good signature editor

Notepad does not copy/paste very well, and it can be difficult to read. A good html editor will change the colors and make it much easier to read the code.

Also when you try to search it will only search one way up or down which is stupid.
