Id like to be able to check that the subject line doesnt contain these characters
greater then ">"
less than "<" or an
ampersand "&"
in the subject line when someone starts a new topic. As if they are used they cause problems with the UBB.

Thanks.

Well you'll need to write some code, I don't think there is any hack for the Subject line besides the Get rid of Caps hack.

Ahh to easy, just did it.
That will stop people trying to post
< > | ^ & + = etc... in a message subject!

Sure Here is the basic code, only thing is it doesnt allow you to edit posts with characters in the subject line that are listed as blocked.
So Im just working on doing it a bit differently if an Admin or Mod uses edit/delete etc...
Ill post what I think will work for the admin/mod mode but it won be tested. Ill test it later on today.

Now I've used hex codes to signify what characters I want blocked, you'll have to look up in a hex table what numbers mean what characters if you want to add more. If you have any problems with it let me know, should be pretty straight forward.

I also did this one, it will limit the length of a string in a subject line. I think its better then just changing the MAX value of the input box.
