Hi everyone!

Well, the board I was working on is live thanks in a big part to you guys, but now I'm not sure what's going on.

My browser's set to request a new copy of HTML pages form the server each visit to the page, but that doesn't appear to be working at the board I'm on - http://www.matrixcommunity.org/cgi-bin/Ultimate.cgi?action=intro ... during any given browser session, if I try to view a thread that's been replied to, I have to hit Refresh to see the reply if I've already been in that thread during that session. I'm not the only one having this problem, either.

I have a sneaking suspicion that the anchor hack has something to do with this, but I'm not really sure. Could someone help me out? smile

Hmm...I have had this problem too but I'm not sure it is the UBB it might be the cookies in your browser/UBB.

Yeah, that actually makes sense 'cause only myself and another user are having problems, no one else has come forward to complain. I haven't touched the cookie libraries, when I was putting in hacks, though. I'm going to remove the anchor hack and see if that helps at all.

Thanks for your help! laugh

Hiya laugh

I decided to take the easy route and fiddled around with my browser settings. I was horrified to find out that my browser wasn't set as I thought it was set, so I re-set it, and everything works fine for me - another user was still having refresh problems though, but I think it can be chalked up to browser/system settings.

However, I do have another question... You know when you post a thread/reply/edit, you get a page that says Thanks for posting, blah blah... Click here if your browser doesn't automatically foward you. What happens for me if I click that link at the board is I immediately get the thread page - without my post. Is this normal for 5.45c, or did I mess up somewhere? [that code was tampered with to make the anchor hack work]..

Thank you for all your help. smile

It's not normal, but It might just be some page cache in your browser.
