I'm noticing on most peoples ubb that their category has a kinda faded, 3-d look to it. I don't think that its an image overlay. Does anyone know how that look is acheived?

I think this is what they do:

They use Photoshop or a Imaging program to do the 3-d category affect and then use it as a background.

Yeah, in your Style settings in your CP. You need to have the background made first though. wink

I've made the background, so I can just type the code into the box where it asks for a category strip color?

Upload the image to your NONCGI directory, then go into your Style settings and put the name of the file in the Background image box.

You have to do the whole background on Photoshop or PSP or whatever you used to make the category strip background colour.

I found the hack finally.
THanks guys.

Now I am trying to find a user defineable custom title hack. All the hacks I find have to be input by the adminstrator in the control panel.
