Is it worth my time to build a board using the beta builds of 6.1? What I mean is, how much effort will it take to upgrade an existing hacked board to the gold version without redoing the entire thing?

I don't think you can upgrade without loosing any hacks on the 6.1 Betas, the code changes more than between a normal version update.

Thanks for the reply. Don't kill me for this, but I've been reading over at the Infopop boards about the issue with the 0 byte files error, and I'm wondering if there is a guesstimate of when it may go gold.

Nah, there isn't a estimate for when 6.1 will go gold. Who knows how long...

Well, I'm a patient person, and it's gonna take me awhile to hack it up. I just got my 6.04 board the way I want it.

yea i fell the same way, i love wat i see in teh beta thus far but i might just wait till 6.2 *shurgs* we re built are 6.05 like 3 or 4 times due to server moves and crashes. and we got it like we like it for now

I don't care about gold. I have been on all the betas and have been able to live w/ the issues. I am anxious for a 6.2 beta. Since it undoubtedly is *not* going to be September as originally predicted, I am wondering if it will be out by Thanksgiving. I have avoided a few hacks I want on because I don't want to do them over and haven't really pushed inviting anyone to my chat rooms because I want to sort of go live w/ it on 6.2 when most of what I want is no longer a hack. Anyway, I can't really wait until Thanksgiving, so I may just have to work more w/ what I have.

I am guessing it's going to be a while. I just noticed after they upgraded to pre 6 about 30 minutes ago things have been going weird.. sooo..
