Calendar or Avatar hack error: "last_number.cgi file may be corrupt"

Members register fine for a while, and then all the sudden, people get this error:

"Can not overwrite an existing profile number. Please notify the administration that their last_number.cgi file may be corrupt. Permissions on the Members directory must be reset, and the Member Stat files must be rebuilt afterwards. (00007296) "

And the last few member cgi's are blank.

Then I have to delete those blank member cgi's and rebuild member stat files to get it working again.

I've got only two hacks on the bbs, the new avatar hack, and the new calendar hack. Not sure which is doing it. any ideas?

chmod your members directory to 777, and run the Rebuild Member Stat Files in the CP under Maintenance.

Cool thanks. I could swear it WAS chmodded to 777, but maybe i'm high.
