is it possible to prevent poll results from being edited? I dont' like how you can change the number of votes for each option (there really shouldn't be a need to do that anyway)... it puts the results of any poll into question depending on the author and/or the subject being voted on just wondering

There probably is a way but it would be better if you asked in the thread in the Beta forum, because thats where jordo supports.
