I'm wondering... Is it possible to upgrade your ubb, and keep the hacks you have installed?

Because with 15+ hacks installed, it would take forever each time you want to upgrade if you have to recopy, redelete, and altogether reedit all of the files required to install hacks again!

As we all know, each time you download an upgrade, it contains new files for cp.cgi, ultimatebb.cgi, etc., etc.

Is it possible, and if so, how... can I keep my current hacks installed and upgrade???

You can go between minor versions (like 6.04 to 6.05 or 6.1.0 to 6.1.0.3) by using a file comparison tool such as BeyondCompare . Going between major versions (6.0 to 6.1, etc) is impossible using file comparison.

Ok, so you're saying using the file comparison, I can just hack the changed files, and not all of them?

I guess that major changes don't occur often enough that it really doesn't matter then...
