Ok, we have ruled out the cp_wordlets.cgi file being the problem. LK tried mine on his board and it worked. I have gone through all the files and can't see anything wrong. So a couple of questions that might help me troubleshoot. First, when I get the error in CP "action not permitted", is that a server error? I can't find that verbage anywhere in the UBB script files. If it is a server error, what are some of the things that might cause it? I'm just trying to find someplace to start loooking to resolve this problem. Thanks,
Basil

No, that means you either missed hacking cp.cgi completely or forgot to upload it.

I truely wish it were that simple, but I have already tried re-hacking cp.cgi and uploading it and double checked the hack according to the instructions and no dice. Just this very minute I went to my server and viewed the cp.cgi and sure enough, the calendar hack is in there. I know my cp_wordlets.cgi is ok cuz LK checked it for me. If there is something wrong with cp.cgi, I am at a loss to find it. I will try again to re-hack the cp.cgi and re-upload. This time I will start with a base cp.cgi and re-do all the hacks in oreder. (Who's Online, News Fader, Polls and Calendar). Keeping my fingers crossed.

Ok, dang it! I have re-hacked the cp-cgi file (again), from scratch. Uploaded and CHMODed to 755. STILL! The dang calendar wordlets will not display in the CP! I am still getting "Action Not permitted" error. I know my cp_wordlets.cgi file is ok cuz LK has tried it and it works. If anyone can give me any coue what might be going on I'd appreciate it. Here is a link to a text version of my cp.cgi in case someone can look at it and maybe spot the problem.

Basil,

If you can, zip up all the files that the Calendar hack affects and send them to me and I will find and fix your problem... I have mine working great if you want to see it go to http://www.osok-clan.net/forums.html

Send them to me and I will fix them for you and let you know what it was.

The files I'm talking about are...

Woo hoo! I got it working! For some reason, when I uploaded the cp_wordlets file (or went through the motions of uploading) it apparently did not upload. I found this by looking at the cp_wordlets file while it was on my server and could not find any "%vars_wordlets_calendar" references, which I knew it was supposed to have. I know I had uploaded the hacked file several times, but for some reason it was not replacing the file. So, this time, I deleted the cp_wordlets file from the server BEFORE uploading the new one. As soon as I did that it worked! Thanks to all for your efforts...this was driving me crazy!
