I had the same problem when I installed the avatar hack.
Open the readme file in the avatar hack zip file, and scroll all the way down to the FAQ section. There is a section that tells exactly how to align the cell just the way you want it to be.

Yeah, I figured it out, it took some trial and error, but I found it, if anyone else needs it, here is how I did it: Find this in public_topic)page.pl (Template):
