I have successfully installed the avatar hack and everyone appears to be in order...but after I select an avatar, it doesn't appear in the forum..any idea why this would be? (the control panal and user permissions show the correct image URL page), so this is really odd.
What might I be overlooking??

Did you rebuild forum stat files, member post stats, etc?

Why would she want to? In the forum, or topic? If its a forum, it shouldn't. If its for topic pages, rehack public_topic_page.pl making sure things are ok. What hack is it? Theres more than one IIRC.

Ranch, I tried that but it didn't work... Mastermind, the avatar hack is: HACK NAME: Avatar Pull Down Hack v1.0 Public Beta I have two sites, one it works fine, the second, it seems like it should work, but my name isn't showing the avatar. Everything in the CP is correct and looks right, and when you try to register, it does show the avatars and the list...it just doesn't show the avatar on my name or any name for that matter on the posts. Any other idea's?  ~Susan

Mastermind..it does show your name as a contributor.

When I installed mine I had to rebuild threads etc for them to show on previous posts.

I wish that was my problem, but the avatar isn't showing up anywhere, not new posts either...
It just looks like there is no place for an avatar.

Susan - I suggest posting this in the hack thread and/or PMing the current developer.
I know i am a contributor but, as you know, i developed some of the original in 6.0x and maintained it for awhile. Try reinstalling it or going over the steps again.

I found an error in the Avatar modification. Not effecting what you described but please see my post in the beta forum under the Avatar hack as it will elivate a problem in the future.
