Another one I did, but this one doesn't work the way some may want. Some like to see how many posts are on the board, keeping accurate count when posts are deleted. I, however, like to keep a running total of how many posts my board has had since its inception, so I pull the count from the member files, and that's how this hack is set up. This is not the "Accurate Total Posts" that Charles Capps wrote a while back, as I said, mine counts the posts from the member files. Enjoy! http://www.vhlinks.com/pages/ubbhacks/totalposts6.txt

Slurpee, Question: Since it gets the count from the members files what is the affect by having 10,000 members? I like the hack but I hesitate to have something looking at all of the members files everytime someone enters the forums.

That's why I created the "Accurate Total Posts" variant on the UBB5 version of this.

i prefer a hack which will count how many posts i currently have not the ones in total since i first installed it. is there any chance that anyone will ever make something which will do this?

um is it just me or isnt when you log into a cp it has total forums and posts
i would just look for that cose in the cp.cgi and then impliment it to the ultimatebb.cgi

i have an idea but i dont know hwo to write cgi and perl script
Tovok7's total posts and topics hack is what i use
could it be modified to generate its own data file and keep a record of the total current totpics and posts but also keep a record of the inseption total from when the hack was installed?
i know i hvae friends that are writing scripts for there main job i dont kno about you guys but i know they could do it but they seem to like to raid my wallet when it comes to such things
so thats why i come here
but let me know what you think
oh and for the hack showing the totals
maybe have it show the totals normaly like it does now but have a link near where it is placed on the forum summary that will acces the the total from the begining and also add the begining totals to Tovok7's statistics hack?
i dont know im just rambling on on ill leave now
