Just thought I would note that when you click the im to start one users from recent visitor's list sometimes are double. Kinda like the problems we had with who's online php version

Are the duplicate appearing because the PNTF logins read in UBB_MSG.GCI.. [/code].. is missing the non-active check like there is in UBB_LIB_PNTF_POD.GCI?

While reading into the text file I find the following:

For the life of me I can't find ubb_im.cgi anywhere.
Am I supposed to change the name of a file?
Also I went trhu with the installation anyways and after I upload the files and clear the cache, I can send myself an IM but I never get it, even If I log off the site and come back.
Any help will be greatly appreciated it.
Oh by the way I do have 6.2 installed.

you won't find ubb_im.cgi on your server unless you've uploaded it from the zip file you just downloaded to view that text file you're quoting from  make sense?

That's just a mistake in the docs, it refers to it as ubb_im.cgi twice, but in the code refers only to ubb_msg.cgi -- just a small mistake, I presume (well, I've got it working and it was that ).

It shows up everywhere that can use cache (even though it also works if cache is off or this page isn't cached already)

i think that i have found a huge bug..:
if i send a new message to myself (didnt test messaging me from other ppl) twice, the new message just overwrites the old message file. can't we just fix this? (and how?)
ps: in fact this is a good way to stop spam but it also kills the old messages.

It's not a tiny bug, it's not a medium-sized bug and it's not a huge bug. It's to prevent flooding. (people can still spam  )

Personally, if a user is abusing the feature, I just make a slight edit and take away their IM rights.
can't find peace of mind but every corner's got a mcdonalds?!

i wish this thing popped up a popup window when ppl receives an instant message (and i wish it to keep itself on top of every single window).
and in addition to that, if that window is open, then append the new incoming im to that specific window.

Hey has anyone complained this thing does not work on 6.2.0.1? I had it working great without any mods on 6.2.0 but since upgrading to the latest version this does not work anymore. The window comes up for you to send the message and select the user and type the message but it never goes anywhere.
I tried sending to myself and never get anything. I tried it a couple of times and nothing. I then went on to rehack the hack and it still does not send the instant message.

Could you check the file and make sure its ok?

Close MultiHack, open MultiHack, try again, make sure the dir/file is correct, you have permissions, etc etc... If it won't work, hack manually.

Hey LK, I dont use ICQ anymore or rather I dont use it on my computer anylonger. I just thought of something cause I beleive someone imed me the other day. Did you take out the ability to im yourself to see if things work. Before I could im myself but now I can't so there may be nothing wrong if you intentionly coded this out

MHK file works now, thanks to MrStormyNights Apparently, MultiHack has a bug with .inc.php files. But since I don't think this file is required in the MHK, I removed it... Just don't forget to update IM Wordlets.

My roomate and I are reworking the code right now and at 70% done. Gonna try to have it in real time instead of refresh in order to get message and rework the popup to an aims like box. Once message is sent, the connection to that user stays open like a chatroom between the 2 users. He is just making sure its safe with security and stuff and will email to you ( LK ) upon completion for review for mayby an addon or update for you. Though it will be for 6.1.0.4, since that is what im using, im sure if will be no prob for 6.2, though u can rework the new code for 6.2 once we get it working ...

LK, thanks for the credit, but you did most of the work, I just assisted in troubleshooting. I did some more testing and figured out it just does not like "inc" in the filename. when I changed the name to vars_im.php, it imported fine. I will post a bug report on the multihack forum so Troy can look into this. LK, You beat me to it, , but I replied with my findings I posted above.

Hi Lk,
I used MultiHack to install and it went fine. I run 6.2.1.
My problem is when I or anyone goes to im someone, the name selection screen can have multiple names of the same user showing.
Any idea what I need to do?

LK I kinda redid the JAVA settings a little for some better features. First off, its no longer an alert box it a mini windows popup Second : I have a meta refresh on the main page so if User is AFK and popup window is open, new message will be posted in same box under the previous message with time stamp. This version works with Users with spaces in the name. Im currently working on it with a friend with the ability to reply in samee chat box, but that will take some time... ok here is the fix: Find: [/code]Replace with:

I could've done it in 1 minute, the problem is the AIM look and to show all messages (sent and received) in that window.
