HERE IS THE FIX For ubb 6.02 glow and shadow problem..

this is for ubb 6.02, the previous version didnt have this security feature in it i guess... i dont use html on my boards anyway so it does not propose a problem.. theyre may be another way around it though..

You may want to check out my CodeFilter mod. It will fix the problem with the parentheses and it will keep users from inserting Javascript commands in a UBBCode tag.

Some of that code is specifically designed to be used with the UBBCode Buttons mod. Try it out. It's very easy to install.

I have installed v6.7 and noticed the email glitch I read about earlier in this thread is still there. When I try to put an email address in the post it does not list the nickname, just theemail address.

Can someone post the fixed code here?

Damn, I have no idea what I'm doing, but i stumbled onto the fix.

By simply changing the variables from $2 to $4 it now correctly lists the nickname instead of just the email address.

hey, this hack works great, but with the upload image option, is it possible for me to have it upload to a completely different server than the one the ubb is on? could someone please help me out, because i don't have much space to waste...thanks a lot

yes u can all u have to do is point it the server that upload.html is on and change the path little bit and it will work fine

Make sure these files exist, permissions are set properly, and paths are set correctly.

Problem fixed path to perl was wrong in image_upload.cgi

When I try to use shadow or glow, I get a error saying I can't use parenthesis in HTML or something like that.. Anyone else ? Fixes ?

Turn ur HTML option off, it'll work.

You will need to delete a line ... the fix is posted in this thread on page 5 by SubTRon.

If you allow HTML on your boards this could be a security issue ...

Hey, for some reason, outta the blue, my code buttons work in some forums and not others...Any ideas on where to start looking? I have not hacked in a while so it wasn't a coding thing...

I still got the Problem that, if i edit a post my ubb shows the HTML-code and not the UBB-code is there already a fix for that problem?

I'm using Version 6.7

We are 2.. i rechecked my ubb_lib_posting.cgi

but i can't seem to figure it out.
it should be in the reverse ubb_code part.

hey guys i think i have found a fix for the editing of posts it works on my board but has a few minor kinks, the flash still doesnt convert and it loses a line if edited but i think its closer than before
open ubb_posting.cgi and replace the convert UBB Code
