In the evenning (germany Time) when i come from work, i will install a testboard with who is online an tested it with my hack to see where is the problem

Wherever I place Who's Online in the main Forum listing...

So i have install Who is online 3.3 from page 15 and ViewPmInfo1.1. I have no problem.In the ubb_summary_forum.cgi where you change above it look like this

In the german forum theangel say's

"..installed Who is online and ViewPmInfo and he has no problem."

In ubb602(public_common.pl) there is no
###~ unless($vars_registration{DisplayRegistration} ne "YES");####


Where can I add public_common.pl in ubb602??

ok I will go screw wit it a bit... I have Who's Online 3.2...

and there you can add the lines.The ######## stand for a word the cannot be written here in the forum (getcook...)

OK, I tried adding this hack but I got to the last bit and couldn`t find the follwing line in Public_common.pl :-

the first beta works fine for me , but after i tried to install v1.1 there is a line in public_common.pl i dont have in my UBB 6.2
the line is
~ unless($vars_registration{DisplayRegistration} ne "YES");

Waht can i do in stead??

I'm sure somone got this one already but here is my problem.

The topic views will only display some of the time. You will have to refresh the borwser to display the numbers. But it counts just fine. I will check the hack again to make sure I diden't miss somthing.

Please if the problem come's again load the summary-cachecounter.cgi out of the cache. Send it to me with a copy of a correct one.So i can see what happend's.

It's a very weird problem. But I will describe the sympoms as best as I can. "The board's not accable totoaly form the outside Internet.

If you load the BBS, at the forum home page then go to, lets say General Topic everything will load except the Views numbers. If you do a hard refrsh, CTRL-R or press the refresh button the numbers will be displayed.

To me, "But I haven't started my Perl classes yet" it sound like a cache or input processing error. It reads fine, but can't display corretly 100% of the time.

Tell me what I can do, and How to do it, to help you out. I will help you out any way I can.

well i do have problems when using this hack together with the qasic who's online hack!

this is what happens when i get a new pm!



its shows a link at the position where normaly the who's online field should be!

In the ubb-forum-summary.cgi you must installed first the Who is Online hack and than the PM hack

At first I thought that I had a problem because nothing on my main forum page said anything about PM's but then I read that you have to have 1 new PM to get the message, so I was going to test everything. I tried to send a pm and I get this error:

I have never modified ubb_lib_mail.cgi so I rechecked my files to see if I did something wrong and everything seems to be fine. Do you think you can tell me where my problem might be. I do have who's online installed and I installed that first like a post said to before I install this one. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

**Edit* Error with the pm's is solved but I still have a problem with them not showing up when I do have a new pm. I read through all the pages of this topic and don't quite really understand how to fix this. Thanks!!

It is a problem with the Who is Online Hack.Look above. The hack change ThisHTML with ThatHTML.

Hi guys, i did some little modifications on that great hack.....I did the instalation and serious tests on a board with the Who's online installed. Work like a charm!

What's new! A warning message with icon and sound at the top of your summary page. Completly apart from the loggin/loggout and you easily can put it anywhere on your page. It tell you how many messages you have and link to your inbox.

I edit the original hack ....so Easy i hope it is ok with you if i called it version 1.2 to do a difference between the original and the one with my mods. Anyway, you can do what you want with it.:)

Can somebody fix the OFFICIAL version up so it works with v6.04e and Who's Online 3.8Qd (latest release). v1.1 doesn't show any output, not even if people send you messages - just the same as it was before the hack was even installed etc.

I've heard this is a problem but nobody has kept the hack up to speed.

you must first install who is Online and than ViewPmInfo Hack 1.1.The hack work's with who is online.There is no problem.

E@sy, yes I did that and I re-checked the files as well as trying numberous things to make it work. After clearing the cache still nothing shows up and when you send a PM to see if that makes it work then still nothing shows.

You saying that Who's Online needs to be installed first suggests this is an issue with the logistics (code position) and not the code itself. Can you say exactly where you associate this with so I can quadruple check?

I have both whos_online (3.8qd) and ViewPMInfo (1.1) running on 6.04e. It doesn't matter which is installed first.

Both hack's work's with the variable $replace in the ubb_forum_summary.cgi.

Install the Who is Online first or rename my var. $replace in $replaceview.There are 6 var. $replace in my hack.For each print "ThisHTML"; two.
