This makes the Username colored, the colors are selectable from the CP. The gender is selectable at registration or later from the member at the profile and uses customfield3.

Also, it's now possible to add icons.

In the previous version it shows only the numbers in the CP, I've changed it now.
You can now select/view the gender from the CP and insert the colors in the wordlets file.

Changes to first version goes only to:
cp_edit_profile.pl
cp_users.cgi
vars_wordlets_mods.cgi

Like Compboy said, if there is no gender selected it doesn't show one. Since not everyone like to make the gender public it's better to have this as an option, instead people choose a wrong gender then.

Anyone like to see an other option or something in this hack?

I've added now CP support, see the first post. And you can use icons, if you like.

If you have used the previous version delete the colors from vars_wordlets_mods.cgi, change the public_topic_page.pl part and add all cp* parts.

That's also what I'm looking for now. Don't like the icons I've used for testing and haven't found any good ones for now.

I can't imagine what I've done wrong, and I've gone over it 3 times (probably one of those right in front of me mistakes) But I can't seem to get the Control Panel part of it working (where I choose colors and images)

I used field #3 and people can choose male/female but I can't seem to do any configuring? (icon/color change)

does it have it's own menu under "primary settings" or is it a sub menu of "Registration Settings"

Please Help!!

I'm anxious to get this set up!

confused

look in the template folder smile

this way you can match the color better if you have diff. template for your forum's.

@TOC: The icons I've used for the snapshot are here: male - female
But I don't like them much and look now for others

@Digital Kid: Like Compboy said, it's in the style settings.

Hi,

I installed the Gender Hack correctly in UBB 6.04f and the new wordlet vars_wordlets_mods.cgi. But when I try to open cp.cgi I got the following error:

syntax error at c:/nusphere/apache/cgi-bin/ubb6/vars_wordlets_mods.cgi line 2, near "_" Compilation failed in require at c:nusphereapachecgi-binubb6cp.cgi line 91.

I currently run the board local. So don´t be irretated by the paths!!!
I think there is something wrong in vars_wordlets_mods.cgi
Where must I copy
gender_male => "Male", and
gender_female => "Female",
in this file? Thanx.

I had to add the word "Gender" to the Custom Registration Field # 3 in the Registration CP. This is not mentioned in the install doc.
