Please remember that anyone can add/upload any new mods to the database in the "Staging Area". We're looking forward to seeing some great new mods/hacks as well as any that have been fixed or modified.

Wonder what effect UBB6 will have on mods.. Deb & Allen have you read Ted's (infopop) post about mod creators possibly needing to improve thier skills?

C_P yes, I told the guys as soon as that was posted and they didn't think it would be a problem at all. So, perhaps it won't be a bad thing.... I honestly don't know.

I doubt I will switch to it, I still have 5.45c. I his own words, there will be no real changes or tons of bells and whistles..

I probably won't upgrade until certain issues are addressed. Such as:

1) Censor check of subjects, sig files
2) All caps blocking in posts, and edited posts
3) Setting max length of sig files (in cp)
4) Last post by: Ultimate & forum
5) Edit subject

I have these mod's installed. Otherwise the other mods are glitz and if I couldn't ad dthem I'd live. Of course who's online and CYMPM would bve greatly missed.

I'm not sure if I'll upgrade either although 6.0 is supposed to be much more efficient. The one hack that my users would miss is the UBB Codebutton mod... that is one I'd have to include. Oh, and stars hack but it's used in a different way on my board.

One feature or mod that I would like to see in 6 is the ability for users to disable seeing other people's signatures... So those people on slower connections wouldn't even have to see a sig file.

Huh? Not trying to stir anything up but after doing a bunch of hacks their UBB code seems pretty messy to me. And their html skillz are really bad based on what's embedded in the code...IMO.

I guess all we can do is wait and see what the version 6 has to offer...

Thradar... shhhhhh... it'll be our little secret.

No current mods will work on UBB6.
We (ubbdev coders and ubbhackers coders) are working to "fix" the current mods.

I, for sure, will upgrade to UBB6. Put it on a test board, rehack it, upload. No biggie.

That's impossible with the way UBB stores threads (.html). (Although in a maximum security forum it might work - I made a hack like that for SF...)
